BRIEF DESCRIPTION
NOSS GNU/Linux is a Debian derivative developed in 2019 by staff of the Ghana Centre for Free and Open Source Software Resource and Research (GCFOSS) of the Ghana-India Kofi Annan Centre of Excellence in ICT (AITI-KACE). The main focus of the NOSS project is to develop a platform for Ghanaians by Ghanaians to innovate solutions to promote national development. The project aim at building a community of developers and user to improve and make NOSS the preferred OS in Ghana schools, homes and office and an innovation platform in Ghana and the West Africa sub-region. The two main variants available are EduNOSS – the educational version and NOSS-Desktop for general purpose use. The development team are currently working on a 32-bits version and server edition for Small Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Ghana.

NOSS DESKTOP
The latest Release of NOSS GNU/Linux is version 2.1 (baako). It is coupled with Cinnamon Desktop Environment. This release aims to enhance the user & experience in desktops and laptops with latest applications.
